Burn FR has passed the BS 5852: Part 2:1982 Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5) test as an upholstery composite.
Testing was conducted by EKOTEKS Laboratuvar ve Gözetim Hizmetleri A.Ş. under report number 2400005627.
The tested sample was not treated with additional flame-retardant chemicals.

Burn FR Collection by Nilstar® is a laboratory-tested
flame retardant upholstery fabric developed for hotels, restaurants,
cafés, bars and commercial hospitality interiors where fire performance,
durability and refined design are essential.
Manufactured from 100% FR Polyester (FR PES), Burn FR is
designed for demanding contract upholstery applications. The fabric
has been tested as an upholstery composite to BS 5852: Part 2:1982 – Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5)
and achieved a PASS result.
Importantly, the laboratory report states that the tested fabric sample was not treated with additional flame-retardant chemicals
before testing. This supports the use of FR polyester yarn as a key
performance characteristic of the fabric.

The reported test method was BS 5852:2-1982, Source 5, with the tested upholstery
composition achieving PASS.
The test report also records that the original fabric sample was tested
without additional flame-retardant chemical treatment.
