FR Collection by Nilstar®

is a laboratory-tested flame retardant upholstery fabric developed for
hotels, restaurants, cafés, bars and commercial hospitality interiors
where fire performance, durability and refined design are essential.

Manufactured from 100% FR Polyester (FR PES), Burn FR is
designed for demanding contract upholstery applications. The fabric has
been tested as an upholstery composite to
BS 5852: Part 2:1982 – Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5)
and achieved a PASS result.

Importantly, the laboratory report states that the tested fabric sample
was not treated with additional flame-retardant chemicals
before testing. This supports the use of
FR polyester yarn as a key performance characteristic
of the fabric.

Flame Retardant Upholstery Fabric – Crib 5 Performance

Burn FR is a flame retardant upholstery fabric tested as
an upholstery composite to
BS 5852: Part 2:1982 – Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5).
The tested upholstery composition achieved a
PASS result under laboratory testing.

The fabric sample tested by the laboratory was not treated with
additional flame-retardant chemicals before testing. The
flame-retardant performance is associated with the use of
FR Polyester (FR PES) in the fabric construction.

Crib 5 Fabric Laboratory Test

The Burn FR fabric was tested by
EKOTEKS Laboratuvar ve Gözetim Hizmetleri A.Ş.
under report number 2400005627.
The reported test method was
BS 5852:2-1982, Source 5, with the tested upholstery
composition achieving PASS.

The test report also records that the original fabric sample was tested
without additional flame-retardant chemical treatment.
